How We Verify Discount Codes

Preloved Discounts publishes verified promo codes for over 100 brands across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and other categories. Every code listed on this site has been tested at checkout by a real person before publication. This page explains exactly how that process works, who does the work, and how we earn money — so you know what you're getting when you use a code from us.

Where Our Codes Come From

We don't aggregate codes from other coupon sites. We work directly with the brands we list. For each retailer, we request a custom discount code from the brand's marketing team or affiliate manager — a code that's intended to be shared with our audience and that we can stand behind.

Because the codes are issued to us directly, they're not the random expired codes that fill most coupon sites. Each code on our pages was given to us by the brand for the purpose of being shared with shoppers like you.

How We Test Each Code

Before a code goes live on Preloved Discounts, we test it at checkout. The process for each retailer:

1. Add a mix of full-price and sale items to the cart, so we can check whether the code stacks with existing sales or only applies to full-price products.
2. Proceed to checkout and apply the code.
3. Confirm that the discount applies to the order total and screenshot the result.
4. Note any restrictions we observe — minimum order amounts, excluded categories, regional limitations, or stacking behaviour with existing sales.

All codes we publish work globally. None are region-locked, so it doesn't matter whether you're shopping from the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else — the code will apply at checkout.

How Often We Re-Verify

We re-test every code daily. Brands change their promotions, run conflicting sales that block external codes, or rotate codes for different campaigns — and we want to make sure the code we're showing you today still works today.

When a code stops working, we remove the listing while we contact the brand for a replacement. We don't leave broken codes live just to hold the page rankings.

Who Verifies the Codes

All testing is done by Guru_PLD, the editorial lead at Preloved Discounts. With a background in affiliate marketing and e-commerce, Guru_PLD personally tests every code that appears on the site before it's published, and re-tests them daily as part of the ongoing verification cycle.

We're a small editorial team. That means slower growth than coupon sites that auto-scrape and publish thousands of unverified codes — but it also means every page you read here represents real, recent human verification.

How We Make Money

Preloved Discounts is funded through affiliate commissions. When you click through to a retailer from one of our pages and complete a purchase, we receive a small commission from the retailer's affiliate programme. This does not increase the price you pay.

We work with three affiliate networks: AWIN, Impact, and CJ Affiliate. Every retailer listed on Preloved Discounts is one we have an affiliate relationship with — we don't list brands we can't earn commission on, because we couldn't sustainably afford to verify codes daily for brands that don't fund the work.

We do not accept payment in exchange for placement, higher rankings, more favourable reviews, or any other editorial influence. The order brands appear in on our site, the codes we publish, and the honest information in our FAQs are not for sale.

What We Don't Do

• We don't accept payment for placement or rankings.
• We don't aggregate or republish codes scraped from other coupon sites.

If a Code Doesn't Work

If you try a code from Preloved Discounts and it doesn't apply at checkout, please email us at info@preloveddiscounts.com. We'll re-verify the code immediately, contact the brand if needed, and update the listing. User reports are one of the fastest ways we catch codes that have stopped working.
